The atelier is where creativity is encouraged at Whitehouse Prep. In art we will be learning about colors and how artists use colors to show emotions and moods. We will explored Primary and Secondary colors, warm and cool colors and the art work of Mondrian and Kandinsky. In addition, the children will be free to explore and create using all the wonderful materials that are available at the many stations located around the room. At this time, we could use your help collecting materials to replenish supplies and for upcoming projects:

Cereal boxes (or anything that comes in a similar type of packaging including pasta boxes with windows) Please flatten the boxes to make storage easier- thank you!

• wallpaper books or even rolls
• wooden shapes
• foam shapes
