Program Highlights
Whitehouse Preparatory School is proud to announce that it is now offering a new program called Kinder*Connect™. Kinder*Connect™ is a premier wrap-around program intended for children enrolled in a half-day public school kindergarten who want and desire more in terms of academic and skill development. Designed and implemented by an experienced former public school teacher, Kinder*Connect™ provides the perfect link between half-day public and private Kindergarten programs to ensure continuity and consistency of programs, instruction and curriculum. With over 20 years Kindergarten experience, Judy Serra knows exactly what is being taught in the public schools and how a wrap-around program can best complement and enhance public school Kindergarten instruction.
Judy Serra’s Unique Approach
Judy Serra’s knowledge and experience has helped to create this “one of a kind” program that connects to and expands upon the current public school Kindergarten program. Although many wrap-around programs offer more of the same, the Kinder*Connect™ program enhances the current public school kindergarten experience by offering enrichment and extensions of the public school kindergarten day. For example, students in the Kinder*Connect™ program receive instruction in many unique areas that are not covered in the public school including Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, Art, Music, Violin Lessons, A Mini Court Program, an Intergenerational Program and Conflict Resolution/Anti-Bullying Program. In addition, students have the opportunity to explore in the School’s natural playground (the only of its kind in New Jersey) and attend its innovative after school program.
Taught by Certified and Experienced Teachers
The Kinder*Connect™ program is taught by highly qualified, state certified teachers with specific experience and education in Kindergarten. In addition, the Kinder*Connect™ program is part of a Kindergarten School with only kindergarten aged children – that means no infants and toddlers and no older children . . . just kindergarteners! This unique program (and the melding of public and private resources) is the perfect solution to providing a nurturing, academically challenging and enriching full-day kindergarten program for your child that he or she needs in order to be fully prepared for the demands of first grade and beyond.
Program Session
The Kinder*Connect™ program is designed to achieve consistency with the Readington Township Public Schools (especially Whitehouse Elementary School) both in terms of curriculum and programs as well as scheduling considerations. Whitehouse Prep offers an afternoon wrap around program that allows for an easy transition to and from the public school. The afternoon program will start immediately after the morning Kindergarten at Whitehouse Elementary School is over and will run to 3:00 p.m. For those children enrolled in the morning public Kindergarten class at Whitehouse Elementary School, free transportation by the Readington Public School is available to Whitehouse Prep in order to allow students to attend the Kinder*Connect™ program. Transportation is also available at the end of the school day from Whitehouse Elementary School to Whitehouse Prep for children who would like to attend Whitehouse Prep’s after school program After the School Bell ™. All you need to do is complete a Day Care Transportation Request Form.
Enrolling
Enrolling into our program is simple. Just complete a Application Form and indicate the specific program you are interested in. Upon our receipt of your Application Form and application fee, we will contact you to confirm availability, a starting date and our program policies.
