Whitehouse Preparatory School receives the only four-star preschool rating within Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren Counties from the New Jersey Department of Education’s Grow NJ Kids
NJ’s Grow NJ Kids Rating System, aimed to assess child care and early learning programs, preformed a rigorous evaluation of Whitehouse Prep and the Hunterdon Country Preschool came out on top.

Whitehouse Prep is setting a high bar for pre-schools in New Jersey by achieving a four-Star rating. Whitehouse Prep is the only pre-school in Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren Counties to achieve such a recognition. The four-Star rating was granted by the New Jersey Department of Education, through its innovative Grow NJ Kids Rating System. Within the tri-county area, only three other pre-schools achieved a three-Star rating. Whitehouse Prep is ranked as one of the top ten highest rated pre-schools in the state of New Jersey based on the Grow NJ Kids program rating system.
This Star Rating system was implemented by the State of New Jersey in order to give parents an objective standard when making the important decision of choosing the right pre-school for their young child. Whitehouse Prep enrolled in the rigorous rating program in March of 2015 and they have worked very hard at meeting the high-quality standards set forth by the program since then.
According to Judy Serra, Head of School and founder of Whitehouse Prep, “We did this because we are committed to giving our students the best quality preschool program that we can and we are proud to say that we have achieved this level of excellence.”
The assessment included an evaluation of the school’s teaching staff, facility, children’s access to quality educational materials, and its curriculum called Tools of the Mind.
According to Serra, “A big reason our school achieved this excellent rating was due to the high quality and professionalism of our teaching staff. Our teachers are the best of the best and they truly love the children and what they do every day. In the end, the children have the best foundation for future learning and that is what we are all about here at Whitehouse Prep.” Whitehouse Prep is the only Pre-school in the tri-county area to achieve the 4-Star rating.
Joining 40 other states in the country, New Jersey is a leader in ensuring pre-school education is the best it can possibly be by creating high quality standards for early learning centers.

Whitehouse Prep is a Pre-School and Kindergarten located in Whitehouse Station, NJ serving Central NJ families with children 2 ½-6 years of age.
